    Plans are being finalized for our 2017 Trinidad baseball road trip, so now is  the time to gear up if you plan to join us.  This year we will be taking an All Star team playing the full rules of baseball against veteran Trinidad men's teams.  Offering sightseeing, the beach and baseball camaraderie,  we are now signing up players for this exciting trip.  Don't miss out on our Trinidad baseball adventure.

Information On Our Trinidad Baseball Road Trip

    The requirements are simple.  First, the ability and desire to play baseball in a unique international setting.  Second, an interest in international goodwill and sportsmanship (e.g. if you swing the bat at the ump after a called strike three, please try rotisserie baseball).  Third, a historical interest in the sites, sounds, and images of past and present Trinidad.  Sound interesting?


Mount Saint Benedict Monastery Offers Panoramic Views And The Chance To Pray For Victories!


    What’s involved in this once in a lifetime opportunity? First, you will depart America on March 11tht and arrive in Trinidad where you'll make your way to our team hotel, the Trinidad Hilton.  Located on 25 lush acres of landscape in the Port of Spain area, you stay will include free internet and daily breakfast buffet.  After a night of rest, we will begin our baseball exploits playing five  games against local adult baseball teams.   We will also spend the non-game daytime hours sightseeing or hitting the beach. Sightseeing will include:


City tour of the capital Port of Spain including Independence Square, Central Bank, Supreme Court and the Queens Park Savannah with its’ “Magnificent Seven” colonial-style buildings.


a visit to Lady Young Lookout for its panoramic views.


Mount St Benedict Monastery which was established in 1912 on 240 acres of land approximately 700 feet above sea level. Today it consists of a Church, a Monastery, a Seminary, a Yogurt factory, and a retreat house. The Abbey welcomes of all faiths seeking peace, solace, purpose, and fulfillment. Mount Saint Benedict is currently presided over by Abbot John Pereira and houses ten monks.


Central Trinidad where we will visit the main city of Chaguanas and its fresh produce market and street bazaar. Taste the local fruits! We'll continue to a small authentic pottery workshop, the 85ft tall statue of Lord Hanuman and its adjoining Ashram. We then make a lunch stop for traditional roti lunch.


The 250 acre San Antonio Cocoa Estate in Central Trinidad’s Montserrat Hills.  This cocoa estate supplies Belgian chocolatiers among their many export markets. We'll learn about the processing of cocoa during our tour of the plantation. The Montserrat Cocoa Farmers Co-Operative Society also uses the facilities here for processing. you will  experience a very active functioning estate,  not just a tourist attraction. There’s a growing buzz in Trinidad around local initiatives like this who are helping to build sustainable business models for cocoa production.


Gasparee Cave Boat Tour where we'll start off by driving along the scenic North West Coast to Chaguaramas. Here we will take a group boat ride to the small island of Gaspar Grande. After a short easy hike to cave entrance, you'll descend broad steps to amazing 80ft underground cave with a deep pond (“Blue Grotto”) to view stalagmites and other unusual rock formations.   Better bring comfortable clothing and walking shows for this one!

2017 Trinidad Baseball Tour Costs And Details

     By now you are probably asking yourself how you could be so lucky to have the opportunity of a lifetime and play baseball in Trinidad. Well, it’s time to come back to earth as every dream has its price, but this one’s reasonable. The cost for each player in a double room is $1495 while fans and friends are just $1395 in a double room. This includes all  hotels, all sightseeing, baseball games, ground transportation, field rentals, umpire fees and our banquet dinner.  Single rooms are an additionally  $395 and are limited.  Full payment is required by January 1st.

    What isn’t included in this wonderful invitation? First, you are free to choose your own airline to travel to Trinidad as no airfare is included in the above prices. Several carriers fly to Trinidad, so check Orbitz for carriers flying from your local airport or check out our air fare tips.    Please do not purchase your plane ticket until you are notified that the trip is full.


    Second, you must get your own passport if you do not already have one or if yours has expired. Please note that Americans do not require a visa to visit Trinidad.  Third, other than breakfast, you are on your own for all meals. Fourth, you'll be provided information on how to get to the hotel, but you are responsible your  airport transfers. 


    Finally, each player will be responsible for bringing their own Foreign Devils uniform, gray uniform pants, metal or wooden bat, batting helmet, glove and 6 new leather baseballs.  If you don't own a Foreign Devils uniform (a jersey and cap), you will be provided information on ordering one after registering.

March 12th SundayArise to sunshine in paradise.  Then it's off to the Queens Park Savannah baseball field for the opening ceremony and a doubleheader. Fresh off a victory, you'll be free for some rest and relaxation.
March 13th MondayTour of  the Port Of Spain, the capital city of Trinidad where sights include the Red House, the Magnificent Seven, Fort George and the Mt St Benedict Monastery. The afternoon game #3.
March 14th Tuesday We'll travel to central Trinidad to visit the main city of Chaguanas and the San Antonio Cocoa Estate. Afternoon game #4.
March 15th WednesdayA scenic boat ride to the island of Gaspar Grande to visit the Gasparee Cave followed by an afternoon of free time.
March 16th ThursdayA morning off to visit to Royal Botanical Garden that were established in 1818 and is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the Caribbean. Or a morning off to enjoy the beaches, go shopping and just relax.  Baseball clinics at two schools in the afternoon.
March 17th FridayA morning visit to Queen's Park Savannah, an architecture and nature lover's paradise. Then it's off to game #5.
March 18th SaturdayLeave for the USA as  true international baseball stars!
